The Skin + Body Studio Education Division operates as Skin to Body Training Institute. It offers continuing education for beauty professionals.

Our courses are regulated by the Illinois Department of Financial Regulation, which means we have received official authority from the board to offer approved courses for continuing education credit and certification. We offer continuing education to estheticians, cosmetologist, and nail technicians.

What are the prerequisites for enrolling in your course?

For most of our courses you need to be licensed as an esthetician, cosmetologist, or nail technician or be enrolled in school. There are a few courses that do not require a license always check with your state board.

Will I receive a certification or license upon completion?

You will receive a certification upon completion, as we only provide continuing education

How many CEU hours are needed for Estheticians, Cosmetologist, and Nail Technicians in Illinois?

In Illinois, the continuing education (CE) requirements for license renewal vary by license type:

  • Estheticians: Require 10 hours of continuing education every 2 years.

  • Cosmetologists: Require 14 hours of continuing education every 2 years.

  • Nail Technicians: Require 10 hours of continuing education every 2 years.
